- Available on all plans
Connections allow you to bring data into Odie from another source. A Google integration pulls your team's email and meeting activity to be analyzed for your scored accounts.
Google Workspace permissions
When a user connects Google Workspace, Odie requests read-only access to Gmail and Google Calendar so it can analyze email and meeting activity for scored accounts.
Gmail
-
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly— read-only access to Gmail messages and metadata. Odie does not send, modify, or delete email.
Calendar
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonlyhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonlyhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist.readonly
Google Sign-In
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profilehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email
The Calendar scopes provide read-only access to calendars, events, and calendar lists. The Google Sign-In scopes identify the Google account being connected and associate its activity with the correct Odie user.
Each user must approve these permissions when authenticating their own Google account. Google Workspace administrators may need to approve or allowlist these scopes in their organization's Google Admin settings.
Google Advanced Protection
If Google Advanced Protection is enabled for your organization's Google Workspace, granting the scopes above is not sufficient. A Google Workspace administrator must also add Odie to the organization's Trusted list before users can authenticate successfully.
1. Enable Google for authentication
Once you enable Google for authentication in your instance, your team members can find a new option to authenticate their own Google accounts from within their Odie user profile.
- In Odie, click Settings from the left nav.
- Click Integrations.
- Click Add a Connection.
- Locate the Google data source, and click Connect.
- Click Enable Google Mail & Calendar.
- Click Enable Google.
2. Individually authenticate (per user)
Each user for whom you want to track email and meeting activity must be added as a user in Odie and individually authenticate their Google accounts.
